In 2004, the Eurovision Song Contest introduced a semi final stage before Saturday night’s show to accommodate the rising number of countries wishing to compete at Europe’s favourite music competition. And ever since 2008, this has become two semi finals in which countries must compete in order to join the host and the Big 5 in the Grand Final.
The First Semi Final might start off the contest, but Thursday’s Second Semi Final is where things really begin to heat up! We already know the majority of the finalists and there are only 10 spots left… and of course, the Grand Final is now within sight!
