Good evening Europe, this is Florence calling! It’s time for Europe in a Day’s Birthday Eurovision, which returns for its third consecutive year!
As you might remember, last year’s contest in Madrid was won by Italy and the deeply emotional melodies of ‘Rapsodia’ by Mia Martini. This musical masterpiece now brings this year’s Birthday Eurovision to timeless Florence, a truly magnificent gem of a city!
This year 32 countries from the Europe in a Day family will be entering songs into the contest, all hoping to be crowned the continent’s favourite – including Ukraine, who are making their Birthday Eurovision debut!
Since the Europe in a Day countries and territories of England, the Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Scotland, Wales and Vatican City have never entered the actual Eurovision Song Contest independently, they won’t be entering songs into Birthday Eurovision – but their juries are standing by ready to vote!
All eligible songs were put into a randomiser to determine a running order and listed below. National juries from each of the 32 singing countries and the 11 non-competing nations will have their say, while your votes cast below will form the results of the televote. So don’t delay, give your 12 points now!
You have until AUGUST 30TH to take a look and pick your Top 10 favourites. Then, on August 31st (Europe in a Day’s 7th birthday) we’ll find out who is the winner of Europe in a Day’s Birthday Eurovision!
All that’s left to say is: Good Evening Europe, this is Florence calling! Or indeed: Buonasera Europa, questa è Firenze che chiama!
